when it comes to meditation

Postby Traveler on Wed Jan 07, 2009 9:06 pm

ive been a bit lazy with meditating and all that over the past months (either not doing it or not putting any effort)
but ive been making more time again but at the moment when i attempt meditation, i shut my eyes but within minutes they start to ache around the eyebrow area and its pretty distracting and impairs my concentration.
any ideas what this could be?

Hmm perhaps your 6th chakra/3rd eye expanding?

Perhaps you can meditate on that specific feeling and try to get information out of it.

Just sent you the meditation ebooks you requested.

My take is that something is being blocked. When a memory is blocked by an outside source there is a pain caused when you attempt to unlock it. Unlocking the memory releases the pain.

Just something from my experience. I don't know if it helps but I figured I would try:)

Apoc, can you elaborate on what you think it could be please because I have had a feeling (in the past) of some form of resistance against my efforts of work on energy/meditation etc.

Rev, yeah the pain made me think about working on my 3rd eye which I will do.

Chris, I have tried ignoring it but its like an itch, it gets more intense as I try to either ignore it or push on through, but I will try and focus my attention elsewhere (which usually is my plan when meditating lol)

Apoc Id still like your 2cents on what you said above ;) but I had some success last night.

Cheers rev for that ebook its helped, I sat down last night to meditate and instead of having an aim or goal to achieve I just let my thoughts wander and browsed them, letting them pass by as they wished trying not to hold onto any. As I was doing this part of the ebook that I'd recently read came to mind about past, future and present thinking, I let my thoughts flow freely and then decided to take my mind off thoughts of the past, then thoughts of the future, I let thoughts of the present time remain for a few moments and then decided to let them thoughts disappear into nothingness as well and as it all washed away I heard a small crack and a small flash of light flew from within or behind my closed eyes, this light shot across my vision. My immiate thought was of the symbolism of something being unlocked but I couldnt re focus after that so stopped meditating.

Have you tried the Emotional Freedom Technique? It's a technique that more and more people are starting to use for a variety of complaints. There is a video on the website that explains better.

I've done it to get rid of a headache. It works pretty well. One of my friends does it to her son who has ADHD and he calms down after she does it. Maybe it could help.

I am SO sorry Ash! I didn't come back to this thread. Here I go elaborating:)

In the last few months there have been incidents with friends and what I guess, some would call, men in black. I know, I know. A long story short...my friend made it back to me and asked me to tell him what was going on. He had one memory from a night just before the memory loss. He explained that one to me. But he had a problem when looking up and to the left which, I thought to be a logical area of the brain. I was very pensive about what I told him of the last few months because it had to do with an awakening of sorts and psychic phenomenon. Not to mention aliens, which he was always afraid of because of this recurring dream. So, I had my experience at and one point I failed in what is known to some as the 10th dimension or Kundalini cave or...well there are a ton of terms for this all, I've realized. This failure, where I felt forced to fail and even forgot for a moment, really had me wanting to allow him to be normal again. Of course, I figured that it was his choice and nothing but good came out of his awakening or activation and I helped him through that in the first place. He was asking for my help, afterall, and I don't turn away from crap like that.

So, I started with some wierd things that he had done that I could prove. He still didn't remember. Then I started going through things chronologically and in no time, he started quickly remembering but he kept having to deal with this pain. He had a dream that night of some alien showing him something and he tried to look to the left. The alien would not let him turn and was showing him something. A long story short(again lol) he called me and I explained that it seemed to me that the original alien that showed him a LOT of stuff and info(spending 3 days in what you all call the astral) was explaining that whatever was to the left was purposefully being blocked and I told him that he would have to believe there was no block there and that the pain was just there to let him know that the logical memory he had was bullshit. Where I got that, I don't know. When people ask me for stuff, I just let my mouth ramble and I, myself, seem to learn something. I told him that even a blocked memory can be recovered and that our brain works a lot like any computer. So, he could retrieve the memory if he stopped thinking that he couldn't.

So after accepting that he had a false memory and it was being blocked(the logical memory was kiiinda strange in some parts, imo) and that noticing the pain at all was his higher mind letting him know something he started getting all of his memories back.

Then he calls me in a panic. He said that he remembered what really happened and that they downloaded info from his mind and specific things about me and that they know where I am now. He said that they followed him home from the store in a black blazer type car with a flower pot on it. At first he thought it was a flower delivery service. Then he parked and they parked right behind him. A man and a woman, both in black, came up to him and then all he remembers is not being able to move. He said he was like, catatonic, but aware. He said they put something up to him and downloaded stuff about everyone that we had connected and specifically me and then they disconnected him. During this time, he noticed that the clock never moved as if time wasn't working but it definatly took some time. Then they grabbed his cell phone and did something with it and then let him go like normal.

I had told him not to mess with psychic abilities after he knew what he could do, for whatever reason so he calls me saying that he should've listened because somehow he knows that is how they found him. He started getting scared about knowing again. Strangely enough, he went from being afraid of aliens, which now he isn't, to being afraid of humans with this wierd technology. Basically, my friend has 2 memories now. The memory of them and the fabricated memory. What a twisted feeling that must be.

Of course, in the end I had to laugh. I told him that he described that movie Men in Black and I laughed. I did not actually know that the movie was based on experiences people claim to have had. I thought it was just based on a comic or something. It was a good laugh...for a second, heheh.

Even stranger is I had 4 strangers aside from him warn me in the same week and that I was pretty cocky to not be afraid. I told them all that fear is how the average person is controlled and they just fell for it. I was specifically warned about power in numbers etc. *shrug*

Anyway, I've had a REALLY wierd year and so have plenty of others. I don't know if you wanted me going this far but...I figure I owed ya for missing this for so long.

Cheers for that :)
Interesting and informative.
I think it probably is me blocking myself, I'll have to start re-enforcing beliefs lol

lol I don't think it matters how it is blocked. Usually by a traumatic experience, I think. I do believe everything can be retrieved.
