Perhaps ''observant'' is a part of being ''smart''

Anyway:

From Wikipedia:
Schizophrenia, from the Greek roots schizein (σχίζειν, "to split") and phrēn, phren- (φρήν, φρεν-, "mind"), is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental illness characterized by impairments in the perception or expression of reality, most commonly manifesting as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions or disorganized speech and thinking in the context of significant social or occupational dysfunction.

It does.

Only when you abuse weed, alcohol and when you are sensitive to becoming schizophrenic someone MAY become schizophrenic, but this is no golden rule.

I actually have 2 friends(I do not see them anymore though) who are schizo now(they were healthy indiviuals before that time) and happen to use weed...coincidence?

Perhaps pot/weed triggers something in your dna what was already there.

I'm not sure if this fact or fiction.

Just be careful not to abuse that substance and destroy your health/mind.

Wow...I thought I was cracking up for a minute! lol

Ok, phrew! That was a good idea to do that Reve.

I worked with mrdd (mentally retarded and developmentally disabled), most were schizophrenic male sex offenders.

I also did alot of thinking, reading and studying about schizophrenia and wrote a few papers on in while in school...this was all prior to working with the individuals I worked with.
I just sort of fell into the job...I think it wasn't any coincidence.

I'll be interested in posting more about this subject. Right now though, I've been sitting here at this desk all damn day. I have to get up and do something more. (I'm all finished with the site...well, for now)

I will say though, I doubt that the "use" or the abuse of weed, alcohol has anything to do at all with schizophrenia.
With most of the people I worked with, I doubt they used and herb at all, and I know they didn't drink prior to being diagnosed. They were ages of 17 to 24 years of age when they were diagnosed.

I'll do any more posting about it here after I give this puter a break...and my butt too!
