What I believe (or my closest, oldest belief, because I still allow “every possibility” to come in) is that we have a path, we may stray off that path (have other choices, do other things, etc…) but ultimately we get back on the path.

We’re not limited to “one” set of anything, learning, doing, experiencing, etc…because all experiences are available to us.

However as maerik said, with each lesson or experience, we map or plan out what we would like to learn/experience in our next lives. And that “IF” we don’t get it right (for lack of a better word) the first time, this experience will happen over and over again, or we’ll do it over and over again until we’ve worked it out (got it right or whatever)

I seem to be a walking, living example of this in many ways (at least to me and my experiences)
Some call this Karma, some call it destiny and etc…

I'm not saying that we don’t have choices, because I know we do…however, I also believe that we have destiny as well. Things that are beyond our frail manipulative powers. Though we’re very powerful (most of it untapped) it’d be like trying to change what our higher selves wanted for us, before we were even born. That we cannot change what we wanted to, or were distain to come here to learn. We may segue, get sidetracked even, but not totally change.

Our minds, perceptions, wants, beliefs and what we “think” we need, come from a very tiny portion of our minds or consciousness. It’s our higher consciousness that “knows” what we need and want.

I’d say it seems very limiting to “think” we know what we need or want. Our tiny brains cannot see the whole picture. We would (well most of us) would put limits on our selves, IF we could always choose what “we think” is best for us.
I say, let my higher self do the choosing….after all, I believe it does know best.

I’ve never felt that “I” alone (or my lower consciousness, ego and etc…) knows enough about what’s good for me, or what I need to learn. I tend to “get out of my own way”, so that my higher self takes me to, or allows to gain what is needed, or take me onto my path (or gets me on my path if I stray off)

When I’m in tune with that, my life flows much better, then when “I” try to control what’s happening.

I can dig most of what you said there Alchy-mystic..lol...
what happens at the end of the path tho?

All we have are ideas....no absolutes...
I mean reincarnation, karma, destiny, higher selves etc...are
all beliefs.....their isnt any real objective proof of any of em...
so all we really ever end up with is a soup of beliefs...

so its like ...'pick what you want to believe...and then go experience'

thats the only idea that makes all other ideas make sense...
I likes it like that...
I like not actually knowing anything.....

just live, learn, and be.....yo
I dig it

yet. doesn't mean it's not there waiting to be found. i think (again, a belief lol) whatever lies at the end is not an end, goes beyond experience, conceptualising, language, could be staring us right in the face and we never know it...i think :)
