Solutions for my blame game.

Postby Waterhawk on Sun Apr 19, 2009 6:13 am

I did not know where else to place this post, so feel free to remove or move it else where. I would think that it does involve a very important part of some much needed healing for our world though.

There are probably more better ways to phrase the name of this topic, so that it does not offend others. Becuase I believe that the majority continues to play this game, no matter what level or rank player they maybe. But I just feel that there are certain things in our world that are basically childish, no matter how adult these things may seem to others. That is why I call this the blame game. Does not mean that I have never played this game and i still do sometimes, but I am learning other ways to reform it into much more than just "blame".

Who is to blame for anything (crime, life, being or anything else) and to what degree (if any) should anyone be punished? I don't believe in murdering people, unless it is of a last resort in order to protect life. I don't believe that the justice system is set up correctly. Do not get me wrong when I say that I use to be a "blame game player". Even more so back then than I am today. Before anyone here possibly attempts to draw me into any heated conversation concerning severe crimes & punishments, let me explain further please.

I'll cut to the chase and say that when it all comes down to it, no matter how severe the blame or crime may seem or is, the real blame is Kevin (me), myself & I, & I take full responsibility for it all. By doing this simple thing I have ended the blame game, for myself. Actually, I have reformed it so that it does not affect me as much as it does for others, or those who are still playing the game. By talking responsibility for society and I am saying that I not only represent our world (like you and all life here does), but I am part of it all as one human being. Just because I take responsibility does not mean that I am a better person either. I do believe that my actions here will help me in many positive ways. Others may not understand this. That's ok too because we all have our own life paths of education to experience.

The reason why I take responsibility for things that may not seem to be in my control (other peoples harm to other people, environmental harm and any other kind of harm) are very simple. First, there are the unlimited ways that we are all connected in this reality. For example, global society is connected in so many different ways simply through money. We all breath air, drink water, eat food, use soap to shower with. Look at how many ways we all are part of our own destruction & creation. Then there is the spiritual part of our connection with each other, which in my option is extremely important and why I have posted this topic.

By taking blame for the world that I "am" (which is all in our world), I spiritually grow even further (yet nothing is "far" from anything). This important growth happens in many ways for me and it does affect our world. This includes the positive future possibilities/options for our world, even though time does not exist. Even so, why or even how could I ever do this? Or, is it my right to even do so? I say, "Yes."

Now for the next step of this process. I simply do what ever I can to show others that they too can do what I am doing right now. That is to basically show by example, not just words, in how we all could live in peace harmony wisdom, in order to provide/promote more possible balance for our world. So why would anyone, including yourself, want to do this? To take full responsibility for all of society's actions and to work in providing more positive options for all involved? I don't really know. That is up to you.

I do hope that you understand in what I am saying. Because every little bit does help. No matter how long of a road it takes, it all does matter, in my opinion. Off topic a bit, I believe that there are beings with technology that could end & reform most of our major global society and environmental challenges. But they can not, due to the majority of our worlds childish ways. Like war, hunger, missing persons, greed, hate, selfishness and more.

If you feel that you can not make a difference, to help possibly better our world through your own positive examples in life, let me explain what happened to famous teacher & student. A teacher asks one of his students to let him dunk the student's head into the water, which the teacher was already chest deep in. No harm there, the student thought. So the student let the teacher submerge the student's head in water. Soon the student began to run out of air, but the teacher continued to restrain the student firmly, so that the student could not move or break free. The student ran out of air and began to try and escape from the teachers grasp, which the student could not. The situation became critical and the student realized that he was now fighting for his life. Finally, with much effort, the student broke free of the teachers grasp. After the student caught his breath he looked at the teacher and asked, "Why did you do that to me?" The teacher replied, "When you desire learning as much as you wanted breath under there you are ready for my teachings". The teacher's name was Socrates and the student's name was Plato.

My point is that if you really intend on making our world a much better place than it is now, you will basically stop at nothing to do so. Thing is, we must do this so not to bring in more negative energy into our world. I believe that taking blame for all those whom are connected to me and my world here, is only the start and it's the best way to go. If not, then where should I begin?

I hear you Kevin. I'm a firm believer of shaping one's environment by setting an example. I wish to change the world around me for what I consider to be better, and by setting an example I'm attracting people to me who share my ideals, and those in turn will attract others. This is how I see the changes made, it all starts with me, so I have a great deal of responsibility for what's around me.

Wellllllllll Here I go again
Thank You Waterhawk for your post I have not posted here for awhile but needed to reply
to you because I have always enjoyed what you write.
I am in agreement with the need to stop the blame game.
I for one cannot afford to practice (the blame game)
I just celebrated my 33rd anniversary of sobriety this past April 13
Taking responsibility for both what I say and how I live my life are both
part of what I consider my responsibilities are to our world (the collective Unconsious)
if you will .in that EVERYTHING we do and say affects EVERYONE else and everything else
We live in a world that is constantly changing and I want to be part of the change for
(more better) lol What it means to me includes walking the walk , reaching out and attempting to
(if not able to understand) accept and to send out love to others
I can't honestly say I have mastered all this but I was taught we aren't responsible for the results
but only the action In closing I need to say my hope is the replies to this thread are in keeping with the positive
energy that I am sending and my perception of the same energy that Waterhawk is also sending

hey Kevin, i read this when you first posted and never got round to replying. so....

::hug:

what you are doing is wonderful and extremely compassionate, meritous for yourself and others (and thus worthy of the big hug, lol). reading your post i was reminded of Shantideva's wonderful verses of aspiration -

I should dispel the suffering of others because it is suffering like my own suffering.
I should help others too because of their nature as beings, which is like my own being.

When happiness is liked by me and others equally, what is so special about me that
I strive after happiness only for myself?

When fear and suffering are disliked by me and others equally, what is so special about
me that I protect myself and not the other?

:bow2: :bow2:

oh, and go on...have a red balloon too lol :balloon:
