Yaaay! I'm happy to report success! Nothing HUGE, but success nevertheless. I had some time this morning, so I laid down, relaxed and repeatedly told myself that I wanted to see scenes from my other focuses. I wanted to see what they see. I specifically asked for to see things from my Egyptian focus' POV, for I feel that have one at least. Didn't get that. LOL. But. What I did get were 3 short visuals.
The first one was of a street with a sign post on a thin metal rod. Behind the rod a car was parked, a very small, grey car that looked like a Fiat Uno or something like that. As I was seeing it another car, a yellow sedan turned into the parking lot or whatever this place was. I wish I had my hubby's knowledge of car types, for I don't know the make of the car, only that it wasn't big, more like a European size. Both cars looked like they were from the sixties maybe.
The second one was a very short one, I was looking inside the dough hopper at work, seeing that the dough level was going very low and thinking that I had to fill it up quickly or I'll run out of dough. I'd think it was a focus from an alternate reality, and the interesting thing is that I have many, many dreams that "play" in alternate bakeries where we make the same plus new products with some of the same and new colleagues.
The third one was the most intriguing. The only thing I saw was a grey rock wall up close, full of carvings that reminded me of the ones I saw in Chitzen Itza. They were not fresh carvings, the human ornamented heads carved into the entire rock wall were smooth, but they weren't ancient either. I wouldn't dare say they were Mayan, but something similar. The rock wall was actually a part of a narrow walkway I was about to walk through. The wall with the carvings were on the left, and there was a big rock on the right side as well, but I don't know if that had any carvings on it. And here comes the most interesting bit. I was staring at the carvings, and my eye focus started changing. The image went from slightly fuzzy to crystal sharp, stayed that way for a while and then went back to slightly fuzzy and then faded to total greyness.
This whole thing reminded me of the TV station analogy Seth talked about. It indeed felt like I was switching channels, seeing bits of broadcasts from different stations. Very cool.
I am so happy with what I saw, I'm going to keep practicing, and hopefully I'll get more experiences. It'll give me something to think about all day. :-)

Congratulations!

Was wondering about this, though:

I wouldn't dare say they were Mayan

I don't know Mike, I've seen a lot of Mayan stone carvings, they are pretty distinctive, and these didn't strike me as Mayan. Could've been, but I just had the thought that they weren't. This rock wall was part of a mountain, not a building. I wish I would've looked down to see my shoes at least, to see if I was dressed modern (tourist) or past era clothing, but I was busy trying to keep the image clear. With practice I'm sure I'll be able to pay more attention to details, maybe turn around, observe longer and get more information. For a first try this was enough. But I want to do/see more. :-)

Hi Ildi: Wasn't questioning the carvings, just your phraseology - "I wouldn't dare say they were Mayan" - almost as if you would expect retribution for making such a statement! One of the problems with the 'net is that it's not a dialogue, just a series of monologues...

Love,
Mike.

Oh, I see what you mean Mike. No, I'm not afraid of that. If I thought they were Mayan I would've said so. I'm no longer afraid to post whatever's on my mind. Especially here. I feel very comfortable with the people of this forum. :-)

Forgot to mention: The other day Marcia and I were going in different directions, and we agreed to meet at the Chapters book store downtown. I figured I'd be there first, but as it happened Marcia finished early and she was the first to arrive. When I got there she asked me if I'd been upstairs. I said no, I'd just arrived, but when she got there she saw 'me' going up the escalator to the second floor! Brown leather jacket, black felt hat, long hair, beard... she followed 'me' up there, but then couldn't find me anywhere!

Love,
Mike.

LOL Mike, I love these stories of yours. I envy you too, because if I said that to my hubby he'd say I must have been mistaken. It must be a great feeling to be on the same wavelength - or so to speak - on these "weird" experiences with your partner.

I did the method that Wolfnowl talked about...it was SO weird!! I did it with my boyfriend. It took a long time to get it but it was SO cool!! I saw my boyfriend as a japanese guy, he was dressed in samurai armor and he looked so different from himself. His armor with really battle worn and he had scars all over, it was really weird, and he looked to be in his 30s. I guess when he looked at me he saw a saloon girl...and apparently I was "a hottie" as he said. But what was weird though is that he was discribing what I had looked like when he saw me and it didn't really surprise me, it was like someone was telling me stuff I already knew.
But thank you Wolfnowl for talking about the exercise, I'm happy I read it and tried it :)
