Chinese farmer unearths boy-shaped root

ZHENG Dexun shows off a humanshaped heshouwu, or Chinese knotweed, yesterday in Langzhong in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The herb, weighing 5.8 kilograms and standing 62 centimeters high, resembles a naked child.

Zheng, 63, a farmer in Datianba Village, discovered the oddity five days ago while digging for the herb, which is used as a tonic for the kidneys and to treat weak bones and hair loss.

Puts me in mind of the mandrake root, from the medieval alchemy books and whatnot...crazy!

It does make me wonder exactly how he reacted initially. Heck, it makes me wonder how I'D react if I dug something like that up.

It's good to be skeptic as long as someone is not totally closed to a certain possibility.

Like my father who does not believe in alien lifeforms at all...he is absolutely sure they do not exist.

Ofcourse he is entitled to believe that.
