Carlos Castaneda...?

Postby isturite on Thu Jan 29, 2009 5:26 pm

Carlos Castaneda, supposed one of the greatest icons in the new age movement, spewed many words of wisdom in his books quoted as his master Don Juan. Yet Castaneda showed a lot of egotistical and controversial things to the public, where he looked like a fraud. Yet after his death all of his cult members disappeared, and two weeks later his "blue scout" was found dead sitting in her car in the desert. He also never had a picture of don juan, which doesnt surprise me, but others question it

What was this quirky stuff he was doing, and was he a fraud, then the few useful words of wisdom (usually in the first half of the books) would have come from him!....? His book the art of dreaming contained very good insight and information that i did not find in other books or from other astral projection/dreaming "masters" in their books or ideas... yet it contained some really far out stuff, that to a point it makes one feel like after don juan lets castaneda loose a little, castaneda starts making stuff up
Attainment of the unknown through excessive derangement of the senses to explore the webs and worlds within our world... how splendid the possibility- to explore Thoth's hidden stamps and texts to absorb the forms he holds.
