A new rule on the forum

I order to prevent what happened in the last few days, I want to introduce a new rule:

"If one of the admins, the mods or someone else has a problem with someone and wants to kick someone of the forum by banishing that person(ip, username block, etc) then a person must consult first with the admins and mods before someone is being banned. All admins and mods have to agree first that someone has to leave the forum."

This is a new rule to protect members from power abuse and therefor decentralize power.

If someone has questions, ideas, or feedback please let me know.

I apoligize sincerely to all members for what happened yesterday and I hope that it will never ever happen again.

My sincerest apologies to you personally as well Chris, I think you deserve an apology the most. I regret all the things I have said to you in my anger and banned you from the forum...I shouldn't have done that.

We talked it out in our eMails, and we learned a great deal. All is ok now.

Some new rules were added today:

Added Sept 22, 2008 - Stay on Topic - No Hijacking of Threads
Try to stay on topic with what the thread has been started with. You will receive a friendly reminder if the thread starts to go "off" topic too much. Hijacked (hijacked = start talking about something NON related to the thread)
Some members do not mind if the conversation begins to sway from the "original" topic (digress) and that's fine, as long as it gets back to the original topic. Be respectful of other members threads started period.

Added Sept 22, 2008 - Conflict between members
Minor arguments between members can be resolved in our very own ''Shouting Corner'' in the members only section. The thread where the conflict started will be split off and the original healthy topic and replies will be kept intact while the replies with conflict in them will be moved into the sub-forum.

Major arguments must be resolved off the forum or in a private message. The admin(s) and/or moderator(s) will politely ask you to do so. If members fail to comply to this request then the specific thread will be locked for several hours - 1 day and allow members to cool down.
